Great place to stay in the heart of Brooklyn. The unit was near many shops and restaurants as well as easy subway access to the city. Appreciated that it was also on a quiet street which was nice. John was super helpful and was able to help me check in despite my late arrival as well. I had a great stay and would definitely recommend.

As ex New Yorkers, we chose this location because we were familiar with the surroundings, and how easy it was to access, restaurants subway, and attractions like the Brooklyn Bridge Manhattan Bridge, the promenades. The cohost, Mary Beth met us when we arrived, helping with the luggage and orienting us to the apartment. The kitchen was compact, but it did have all cooking and eating utensils that you would need The only item missing was storage containers or some type of wrap to cover any leftovers. Both John and Marybeth were quick to respond to any questions we had. Except for normal New York traffic sounds the apartment was quiet and we did not hear any neighbor noise or loud music. Once out for the day, we did not return until the evening, so climbing the stairs was not a deterrent to us. This is an apartment and location I would not hesitate to rebook. It was a pleasure. If you want to experience the real flavor of Brooklyn Heights this is it.

We loved the location of John’s place. It was a five min walk to multiple subways to Manhattan , it was a quiet street but only 2 blocks from great restaurants and Trader Joe’s. Apartment decor was classy, comfortable and homey. They were easy to talk to, provided good suggestions about the neighborhood, friendly, easy to check in. Total privacy, although they were in the apartment below ours. Would love to stay again on another visit to NYC/Brooklyn.

Had a great stay in the apartment. Everything was as described and the place was clean, quiet and spacious. Interior was exactly as pictured and we had everything we needed. Perfect place to come home to after long days in the city! Would 100% stay again. Thanks!

It is the fourth time we are staying at John's apartment because it is cosy and makes you feel like your own home, in a residential area. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. And if you miss the bustle, you will find very busy streets with a lot of cafés and shops very close ,not to mention Downtown Manhattan which is only a few subway stops away. John and his wife are very friendly and always happy to help.

This is our 3rd stay at John’s listing and it won’t be our last. We loved the location, the comfortable unit, the cleanliness, and the friendliness of our hosts.

John and Ania's apartment is beautifully located on a quiet side street near downtown brooklyn, Dumbo and the Brooklyn Bridge. It was always a pleasure to return to this beautiful, quiet apartment in the evenings. The apartment is spacious by New York standards and furnished to a high standard. John , Ania and Marybeth were always very accommodating and very personable. We enjoyed our stay very much and can absolutely recommend this apartment.

Our two week stay in Brooklyn was made most enjoyable by this comfortable home and location. Our hosts were very accommodating, anxious to make our stay pleasant and problem free. The setting included a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living room and bedroom. The deck in the back provides a nice outdoor area to enjoy. The location was ideal for shopping with several commercial areas within a five minute walk. The non-thru street location made for little traffic and a quiet environment. Access to several subway lines made travel throughout Brooklyn and the wide NYC area most convenient. The site is highly recommended for those who want comfort, safety and prime location in a visit to Brooklyn and NYC.

Really enjoyed our stay. Feels like home away from home. John’s place is clean, neat, cozy, and lots of details. John personally greeted us at the front door and made our check in very smoothly. He helped us to settle in and showed us everything we needed to know. During our stay, he often checked to see if we are okay and need anything else. It’s our first time staying at Airbnb place. John made our experience so wonderful and memorable. Thank you John. We hope to stay in your place in the future!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at John’s place. It was in a great location and was quiet. They were very helpful and also attentive to our requests. If I needed a place to stay in Brooklyn again, I would definitely stay here.

We stayed as a family of 5 at John’s place for just over a week and had a great stay. The accommodation matched the pictures and description given. John was a very proactive host from the moment I booked and both him and Ania welcomed us when we arrived and showed us around the apartment pointing out where everything was. They were also flexible with the check out time allowing us to leave our luggage in the apartment after we checked out as our flight was in the evening. We had no reason/issues to contact John during our stay and his joining instructions very thorough and he pointed out all the local spots to visit. The apartment is close to 2-3 metro stations which get you into Manhattan within 20 to 30 mins depending on where you are going. I would definitely stay here again!

Just perfect- very quiet and amazing place close to the heights- we felt like home -very easy to commute downtown- for sure we would come back !
